Melissa Dowson Vorreyer
Melissa has been a full time Realtor since 1994. She obtained her Broker's license and joined Re/Max Professionals of Springfield in 1997. Melissa heads Springfield's most productive Real Estate Team.
Melissa has a Bachelors degree in Marketing in the College of Agriculture from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1994. She has recently obtained an ASP designation (Accredited Staging Professional), is a member of Springfield Home Builders Association,and is a Certified New Home Specialist.
Melissa specializes in: residential, new construction, lots and land, farmland, relocation and commercial.
Through the course of her career Melissa has been the recipient of many Re/Max International Sales Awards: President's Club, Platinum Club, Chairman's Club, Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Melissa is an avid supporter of The American Diabetes Association (has been a candidate for the Kiss-A-Pig Gala twice), Big Brother Big Sister, Children's Miracle network(giving a portion of every commission earned bath to CMN), and Catholic Charities.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, coaching her daughter's soccer and softball teams. Melissa was raised on a farm in Divernon, Illinois where her family still grows corn and soybeans. She is also involved with the farm and enjoys sharing this part of her family history with her two daughters.

Amy Dowson Thoma
Amy joined Re/Max and the Melissa Dowson Vorreyer Sales Force in 2006. Amy brings considerable business and sales knowledge to the team having received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in business from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to real estate, Amy worked for 9 years at Levi, Ray and Shoup Inc. in software sales.
Amy specializes in residential and farmland sales and takes pride in her exceptional service and professionalism. Hard work, careful listening and diligence are just a part of the services Amy offers to all clients while assisting them in finding their dream home or that perfect piece of land. Amy strives to make every transition as smooth as possible.
Amy and her husband Darrel reside in Springfield along with their 3 beautiful young children. Outside of real estate Amy enjoys spending time at the lake, swimming and coaching her children’s soccer teams. In addition, Amy volunteers at Christ the King where her children currently attend school.

Deb Sarsany, GRI
Deb Sarsany joined Remax and the Melissa Dowson Vorreyer Sales Force in 2007 bringing over 7 years of real estate experience to the team. In addition to earning “Rookie of the year” in Topeka, Ks and earning a spot in the “million dollar club” in Dallas, Tx. Deb has achieved GRI designation and has had extensive training in home preparation and staging.
After living in 8 different states and moving 11 times within 25 years Deb knows firsthand the emotions, excitement and frustration that comes with every local or long distance move. The moving experiences coupled with her real estate knowledge allows Deb a unique position and understanding when working with buyers and sellers. Deb has worked with many relocation companies and transferees.
A native of central Illinois, Deb attended Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield for Dental Assisting and Parker Jr. College for Dental Hygiene. Later, attending the University of Illinois, Harper Jr. College and the University of Kentucky Deb continued and expanded her education to include business and marketing.
With a reputation of providing ultimate customer service to her clients, Deb won the prestigious “Hospitality Hero of the year” award from the St. Louis Visitors and Convention center in 2001. This award is given to the individual who goes above and beyond in providing service to their clients.
Deb lives in Springfield with her husband Pete. They have 3 grown children. In addition to her deep passion for real estate, Deb enjoys travel and spending time with her family.

Joann Tiemann, GRI, CRS
Joann Tiemann is a full time REALTOR with RE/MAX Professionals of Springfield and a licensed associate to the Melissa Dowson Vorreyer Sales Team. With a strong background in customer service, business and marketing she made her exciting career move to Real Estate in 2002. She holds the prestigious designations of GRI and CRS.
Joann understands first hand the challenges her clients are faced with in buying and selling a home in today’s market. Joann’s goal is straight forward, “Provide clients with the highest level of service, knowledge, care and concern. The same attributes I expect from professionals.”
Joann resides in Chatham, Illinois with her husband Brett and two active young boys. Her family has a passion for baseball and spends free time on the field or in St. Louis to catch a game.

Sandy Hamilton, GRI, ABR, CRS
Sandy began her real estate career in 1991 after graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in ALS and a minor in business. Early in Sandy’s real estate career, she specialized in new construction and later branched out to specialize in commercial leasing and selling where she listed/sold the Best Western hotel in Monticello before moving to Springfield in 2001. Over the years, Sandy has sold over 9 million in sales consistently.
Sandy received a full volleyball scholarship to the University of Illinois in Champaign and finished her career with three Big Ten Titles and two Final Four appearances. In her senior year the coaches decided to rename the Coaches Award to the Sandy Scholtens Hamilton award for hard work and determination. She will forever be a true ILLINI!
While in Champaign. Sandy obtained her real estate designations - GRI, ABR and the sought-after CRS. She was President of the Women’s Council of Realtors in 2000 and was also Secretary for Women’s Business Council and was recipient of the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award in 2000 by her colleagues. Currently, Sandy is the Treasurer for the Springfield Parents of Twins Club (SPOTC).
Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, Sandy now resides in Springfield with her husband, Bob (a Springfield native and SHG graduate) her son Charlie, born October 2000, who attends Christ the King and their twin boys, Jake & Will, born November 2004, whom attend St. John’s Lutheran pre-school.

Marcia Beyer
Marcia has been in the real estate industry since 1997 after spending 24 years in the newspaper business-- 16 years at the Jacksonville Journal Courier and 8 years with the State Journal-Register., working with the Circulation and Advertising Departments.
With a careful eye for detail Marcia has been behind the scenes insuring that "loose-ends" are tied. With numerous years of both licensed and unlicensed experience, Marcia functions ad the Closing Coordinator, Listing Coordinator and over4 Client Care Specialist.
Marcia resides in Springfield with her husband, Frank, and loves spending time with her children, Sgt. Brian Hubbard & his wife Katie, at Ft. Campbell, KY and Lauri Hubbard, Regional Manager for Colorifics Salons in Bloomington. After being a dance teacher in Jacksonville & Springfield for nearly 20 years, Marcia now enjoys being a student.
